Look Back in Pride – A 50th anniversary tribute

For the 50th anniversary of the partial decriminalisation of homosexuality in the passing of the ‘Sexual Offences Act’ and the passing of the ‘Abortion Act’ – ‘Queer Tours of London – A Mince Through Time’ and our friends are organising a tribute night, swing dance and feast to the activists who made it happen. Facebook event page here

This will be to pay tribute to the Women’s Liberation Movement and those behind the passing of 1967 Sexual Offences Act and the ongoing Gay Liberation Front. These are the LEGENDS who fought tooth and nail to legalise abortion and homosexuality in 1967 (now the 50th anniversary) – and this is our chance to celebrate who actually made it happen (rather than the Government who may try to take credit next year).

On the evening of Thursday 27th October 2016 we have a public meeting for all who would like to make this happen – facebook page here. We are looking for 15 glamorous assistants, 10 short tribute acts and a raft of volunteers from the younger generation of feminists and queers to cook a feast for them. We also need a bit of cash so if you / an organisation you know are involved with could help out please get in touch!
November 26th 2016 is going to be a night to remember! It will be a Ga(y)la to cherish them as the very important anniversary next year beckons.

There are very limited spaces and priority seats go to the activists of the 1960’s. Please fill out the link here to apply for a space.
Please email ASAP at queertoursoflondon@gmail.com / details at www.queertoursoflondon.com – Please share with everyone you think will appreciate!
